Braeside was built in the 1880’s and beautifully restored and extended in keeping with the original style of the house.
It is situated on an historic Ballarat site that has intrinsic links to Ballarat’s early goldrush days.
During the 1860’s part of a large market garden flourished where the delightful cottage garden now thrives.
The garden provides colour and cottage charm with brick pathways and several secluded nooks with seating and tables. Mature trees in our garden and nearby provide a haven for throngs of native birds.
Red Rose Cottage stands on the site of the old stable which housed the horses that carted the market garden produce. Stained glass and leadlight doors and windows are just some of the features of this charming cottage.
Rapunzel Cottage was built in the early 1990s to provide the ultimate romantic getaway. With the spa set in the unique turret area of the cottage and other quality features, a very special contemporary charm has been created.
